Wendy Williams Sends Mother’s Day Message But Completely Ignores Her Own Son
Wendy Williams Sends Love to All Moms on Mother’s Day But Leaves Out Her Son Kevin in Emotional Post
Wendy Williams marked Mother’s Day with a heartfelt message to her fans — but noticeably left her own son, Kevin Hunter Jr., out of the picture.
On Saturday, a new video was posted to Wendy’s official Instagram account. While the clip extended love and appreciation to all the moms out there, it didn’t feature Wendy herself — and more surprisingly, it made no mention of her being a mother or of her only child.
The post’s caption read:
“HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY TO ALL MOMS. We’d also like to take this time to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you who have gotten behind exposing this horrific situation. Every prayer, every like, every comment, every video, every signature on our petitions, WENDY THANKS YOU!!! We ask for your continued alliance as we continue to push forward with actions. Updates coming soon!!”
It’s unclear whether the message came directly from Wendy or from someone managing her account — but either way, fans quickly noticed the glaring omission of Kevin.
If you’ve been following the drama, you’ll know Wendy and her son have had a strained relationship lately. Wendy previously accused Kevin of financially exploiting her, which she believes played a role in the court-ordered guardianship she’s been trying to escape.
In a revealing episode of the “2 Angry Men” podcast with Harvey Levin and Mark Geragos, Wendy admitted she still forgives her son — despite his alleged betrayal. But in her emotional documentary, “Where Is Wendy Williams?”, she hinted at the deep hurt caused by Kevin’s actions, saying he hasn’t been “a good person” to her.
Although the two shared a brief moment together during her father’s 94th birthday back in February, there’s been little evidence of a genuine reconciliation since then.
Bottom line — Wendy’s message was full of love for moms everywhere, but it said nothing about her own journey as a mother … or her son.
