A woman has filed a lawsuit against hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and his former head of security, Joseph Sherman, alleging that the two men drugged, bound, and violently r@ped her in 2001. The shocking new allegations describe an assault that took place inside the Bad Boy Records studio in Manhattan, with claims that Combs filmed the attack and later showed it to friends.
Lawsuit Details the Alleged Attack
According to court papers filed on Tuesday, September 24, the woman, Graves, was 25 at the time of the attack and dating one of Combs’ employees. She claims that Combs and Sherman lured her into the recording studio, where she was given a drink that was “likely laced with a drug.” The lawsuit alleges that the drug caused Graves to lose consciousness temporarily.
When she woke up, Graves claims she found herself bound and restrained by Combs and Sherman, who allegedly ignored her pleas for help. The two men then proceeded to violently r@pe her, the lawsuit states, describing the attack as “merciless.” Graves also claims that the assault was filmed by Combs, who allegedly showed the footage to friends afterward.
Fear of Retaliation Kept Graves Silent
Graves, who now lives in Texas, says that she never reported the assault to police at the time because she feared retaliation from Combs. According to the lawsuit, Graves believed that Combs, as a powerful figure in the music industry, could “ruin her life” if she came forward with her claims.
However, after Combs’ recent arrest on federal charges of racketeering and s£x trafficking, Graves decided to go public with her story. She was reportedly motivated by the severity of the allegations now being brought against Combs, which include claims that he led a criminal empire that abused women for decades.
Combs Facing Additional Legal Troubles
The lawsuit comes just days after Combs was arrested on September 16 on federal charges related to racketeering and s£x trafficking. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges, which include accusations of forcing women to engage in s£xual acts with male prostitutes and orchestrating what he called “Freak Offs.”
Graves’ lawsuit is likely to intensify the legal and public scrutiny facing Combs, who has long been a towering figure in the hip hop industry. As the case unfolds, it remains to be seen how these new allegations will impact the ongoing criminal proceedings against him.
Combs’ representatives have yet to respond to these new allegations.
