Reports indicate that Verydarkman was apprehended on Friday under accusations of cyberbullying.
The legal representative of Verydarkman has stepped forward to elucidate his client’s situation.
According to him, the instigators of the arrest are the same individuals who filed a petition against him the previous year.
Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo, and Samklef have been named by the lawyer as the culprits behind Verydarkman’s arrest.
He further revealed that they lodged various petitions with different law enforcement agencies, all of which have summoned the activist.
Moreover, the lawyer mentioned that Verydarkman was asked to provide a civil servant as a surety, but varying levels of civil servants have been demanded to stand in his place.
While expressing confidence in the professionalism of the police to grant his client bail, the lawyer warned of legal action if bail is denied.
He reiterated the right to peaceful protest both offline and online, emphasizing adherence to due process.
