Update: Justin Timberlake Faces DWI Charges in The Hamptons
American singer and songwriter Justin Timberlake has been arraigned on charges of driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, New York.
According to a spokesperson for Sag Harbor police who spoke with CNN, Timberlake was arrested overnight. His attorney, Ed Burke, mentioned that he was also cited for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane.
Timberlake was released without bail, and his next court appearance is scheduled for July 26.
Sources informed TMZ that the former NSYNC member was pulled over shortly after leaving a local hotel following a night out with friends.
The Grammy winner is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour. He performed last Saturday at the Kaseya Center in Miami and has upcoming concerts scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the United Center in Chicago, followed by shows next Tuesday and Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
