Travis Scott Arrested After Altercation with Bodyguard at Paris Hotel
U.S. rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Paris, France, following an altercation with his bodyguard at the George V hotel.
According to French prosecutors, the 33-year-old artist was detained after a security guard attempted to intervene in a fight between Scott and his bodyguard. A criminal investigation has been launched in connection with the incident.
Reports from several French media outlets indicated that Scott was intoxicated early Friday morning.
The rapper had been seen attending the Olympic men’s basketball semi-finals on Thursday evening.
Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, has had previous legal troubles. He was arrested in Miami Beach in June for trespassing and disorderly intoxication, according to local police at the time.
Travis Scott is a highly successful American musician. His album “Utopia” was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards.
