Speaking outside the popular WeHo Bistro in West Hollywood this week, Griffin didn’t hold back. As an outspoken ally of the queer community, she said she’s deeply afraid for what lies ahead — and she’s placing the blame squarely on Donald Trump and his administration.
It’s not safe to even walk down the street if you’re LGBTQ+ in this climate,” Kathy declared. “And it’s only getting worse.
She urged the community to not just celebrate during Pride, but to stay politically engaged and protest every single day. Griffin warned that what’s happening isn’t just culture war — it’s a deliberate attempt to erase and endanger the LGBTQ+ population.
Before leaving, she made one final chilling claim:

Her fear isn’t unfounded. Trump’s administration has already rolled back major protections including federal recognition of gender identity and threatening funding for schools supporting trans athletes.
