Theo Von Caught on Video Grabbing Fan by Throat at Nashville Bar
Comedian and podcast host Theo Von found himself in a tense situation at a Nashville bar earlier this month — and it ended with him grabbing a fan by the throat, according to shocking new video footage.
The incident happened on May 2 at The Twelve Thirty Club in Nashville. In the clip, a man holding birthday balloons approaches Theo and appears to engage him in an unwanted interaction. After a brief verbal exchange, Theo clearly becomes agitated.
Without warning, Theo reaches out and grabs the man by the throat, forcefully pushing him back. The startled fan appears stunned by the aggressive move, as Theo continues to stare him down and exchange heated words before the video ends.
Eyewitnesses at the scene told TMZ that Theo used “crushing force” — and it was very clear he wasn’t joking around.
The timing of the altercation is especially notable, as it occurred just one day before Theo’s big “Return of the Rat” stand-up performance at Bridgestone Arena, located right across the street from the bar.
According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, a misdemeanor assault complaint was filed two days later, on May 4. However, after reviewing the case, authorities confirmed that no further action will be taken.
