Singer Nelly Arrested for Ecstasy Possession in Missouri
American singer and rapper Nelly was arrested for drug possession after being pulled over early Wednesday, August 6.
The 49-year-old artist was detained by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Gaming Division at the Hollywood Casino.
Nelly’s arrest was linked to a failure-to-appear warrant from 2018 out of Maryland Heights. During the arrest, police discovered that Nelly was in possession of four ecstasy pills, a controlled substance. Additionally, he was cited for driving without insurance. He has since been released.
In a mugshot obtained by TMZ, Nelly, whose full name is Cornell Haynes II, was seen wearing a white T-shirt under a black hooded sweatshirt.
Nelly is currently expecting a baby with his wife, singer Ashanti.
