Shocking Photo: Charms Recovered as EFCC Arrests 14 Suspected Fraudsters in Benue, Nigeria
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria have arrested 14 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation conducted on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Federal Lowcost Housing Estate in Makurdi, Benue State.
The arrests were made following actionable intelligence that pointed to the suspects’ involvement in internet fraud.
The EFCC identified the suspects as Austine Okwori, Osita Idoko Valentine, Skott King David, Thomas Ifebuche, Akor Kelvin Oche, Henry Adah, Scott Emmanuel Inalegwu, Ogbu Stephen Alpha, Samuel Moses, Ogbonna Ckukwuaogwu, Mustapha Nasir Adinoye, Sylvanus Samuel Ogbu, Emmanuel Adamu, and Samuel Otene.
During the operation, the EFCC recovered several items, including phones, laptops, and charms, from the suspects.
The anti-graft agency stated that the suspects would be charged in court as soon as the investigations are concluded.
