Podcaster Andrew Huberman Claims He Witnessed People Starting Fires in Los Angeles, Shares Video Amid Wildfires
American podcaster and Stanford neuroscientist Andrew Huberman has alleged that he witnessed individuals deliberately setting fires in urban areas of Los Angeles amid the ongoing wildfires.
The 49-year-old claims to have seen people starting a fire near Crescent Bay Park in Santa Monica, one of the areas affected by the disaster. The wildfires have already claimed at least five lives and destroyed over 2,000 structures across the region.
Taking to the social media platform X, Huberman shared a video of the incident, urging the public to report any suspicious activities immediately.
He wrote:
“People are lighting fires in otherwise non-burning urban areas of LA. Saw this happen first-hand in Santa Monica. Called it in & fire dept & police responded.
Stay safe and call in any activity ASAP. We don’t need more flames out here.”
The video shows a group of men gathered around a large blaze as thick smoke billows into the air. One of the individuals appears to be filming the fire on his phone.
