Crowley died of natural causes on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in Los Angeles. The news was confirmed by her son, Jon Hookstratten, Executive Vice President of Administration & Operations at Sony Pictures. She is survived by her husband Andy Friendly, whom she married in 1986.
