Olympic Champion Kyle Snyder Breaks Silence After Shocking Prostitution Sting Arrest
Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler Kyle Snyder has finally spoken out after his arrest during a recent prostitution sting — and he says this is not the end of his story.
The 29-year-old athlete was caught in a Columbus, Ohio motel on May 9 after allegedly offering money to an undercover officer for oral sex. Now, days later, Snyder is turning to faith to help him through the fallout.
In a heartfelt statement posted to X (formerly Twitter), Snyder wrote:
“I want to thank everyone who has reached out with kindness and support. My focus is on my relationship with the Lord Jesus and my family. This is not the conclusion of my journey.”
The comment follows TMZ’s release of police bodycam footage showing Snyder being arrested inside a room at the Quality Inn and Suites. In the video, he appears calm, apologetic, and fully cooperative with officers.
Snyder has not shared further details about the incident, but his statement suggests he’s committed to moving forward, personally and professionally.
Ironically, the arrest came just one day after Snyder signed with Hulk Hogan’s Real American Freestyle wrestling promotion — a new venture that could now be overshadowed by his legal troubles.
He has been released with a court summons scheduled for May 19.
Despite the controversy, Snyder a three-time NCAA champion and Olympic hero — is leaning on his faith and inner strength to face whatever comes next.
