Nurse Rips Out Mom’s Breathing Tube in Front of Kids Says She Wanted Her to Die ‘Peacefully’
A licensed nurse practitioner in Miami, Florida is facing manslaughter charges after allegedly pulling her dying mother off life support right in front of family claiming she wanted her to “go in peace.”
Juansette Sabrina Green, 54, with over two decades in the medical field, made the shocking decision inside a hospital room on May 5, according to police.
Her mother had been hospitalized for severe breathing issues. Green reportedly called her children to say their final goodbyes but what happened next horrified everyone.
According to arrest reports, Green told her family,
“I’m pulling out,”
and then ripped out the breathing tube keeping her mother alive.
Alarms went off instantly. Doctors rushed in to help but Green allegedly told them to stop.
“Let her go in peace,” she insisted.
The woman died shortly after.
That same night, police arrived at Green’s home. She refused to speak there but agreed to be questioned at the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, where she was arrested.
She appeared in court over the weekend and is currently being held without bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
The case has stunned many raising serious questions about the limits of medical authority, family ethics, and criminal responsibility.
