Moment Knife-Wielding Predator Chases and Stabs Teenage Girl in Terrifying Attack
A man who was caught on camera stabbing a teenage girl multiple times has been sentenced to 38 years in prison.
Ellis Dismore, 24, posed as a teenage boy to manipulate and terrorize his victim, stalking her and eventually attacking her in broad daylight on a street in Middlesbrough, England.
Shocking CCTV and dashcam footage captured the horrifying moment he chased the girl, stabbing her five times in the back as she screamed for help. A passing motorist intervened, rescuing the girl by pulling her into their car and driving her to safety.
The teenage victim, who recognized Dismore’s voice but had never met him in person, credited the driver with saving her life.
Dismore was convicted of 26 charges, including attempted murder and inciting eight other underage girls he met online to engage in sexual acts. Declared a dangerous offender, he will also serve an additional five years under extended supervision.
Using the alias “James Wilson,” Dismore initially contacted his victim online in 2022. According to a court statement, the girl described herself as a “normal, happy” teenager before his threats and coercive behavior left her too scared to leave her home.
“I obeyed him because I was terrified of what he might do to me, my friends, and my family,” the girl revealed, adding that he demanded indecent images of her.
When she eventually blocked him online after confiding in a friend, Dismore retaliated by distributing the explicit images to others, further isolating and traumatizing her.
The victim’s mother contacted the police after her daughter revealed Dismore’s threats. In chilling voice messages, Dismore declared he would “happily do jail time” for stabbing her and made horrifying threats of rape and murder.
He was later seen on CCTV purchasing steak knives at a supermarket shortly before the brutal attack on June 22, 2023.
Other victims testified that Dismore, still posing as “James,” coerced them into sending explicit photos and subjected them to threats and harassment.
Judge Timothy Stead described Dismore as “insidious” and “dangerous,” stating that the number of victims he targeted was likely far higher than those identified. He commended the stabbing victim for surviving the attack, noting, “That her life was in peril cannot be doubted.”
Speaking outside court, Detective Sergeant Andrew Hamilton of Cleveland Police praised the bravery of the victims who came forward.
“For seven years, Dismore used fake social media accounts to groom young girls, threatening and coercing them into sending explicit images. His crimes escalated to a terrifying street attack on a 15-year-old girl, leaving her with life-threatening injuries,” Hamilton said. “Had it not been for the courage of a passer-by, she might not have survived.”
Dismore was also subjected to a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order, barring him from contacting his nine known victims.
