Lil Nas X Pleads Not Guilty to Assault Charges; Bail Set at $75,000
Grammy-winning artist Lil Nas X has pleaded not guilty to four felony charges after an unusual incident in Los Angeles.
On Monday, August 25, the rapper appeared in court following allegations that he assaulted police officers who confronted him while he was wandering the streets in just his underwear.
A judge set his bail at $75,000 and ordered him to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Police said they believed he was under the influence of drugs at the time, but his attorney, Christy O’Connor, denied that, saying the star had not taken any illegal substances and that the event was completely out of character.
Lil Nas X faces three counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting arrest.
