Liam Payne’s Ex-Fiancée, Maya Henry: ‘Sexist Remarks Aren’t New’ … Sorry Kate, He’s Toxic!
Maya Henry, the former fiancée of Liam Payne, says she isn’t shocked by the “sexist” comments he made about his current girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. According to Maya, the former One Direction star has a history of toxic behavior.
Maya, who was engaged to Liam for 10 months before their breakup in 2021, tells TMZ that Liam’s recent behavior on social media is just a glimpse of what he’s capable of. She claims to have heard far worse from him about women.
Her remarks reference a video of Liam and Kate where he comments, “You look good. Nice and covered up … for once,” as they pose in front of a mirror. Maya says she sympathizes with Kate, believing she knows firsthand the toxic environment Kate is currently in.
Kate, however, claims she encouraged Liam to joke about her outfit, insisting he has no issue with her dressing provocatively in public.
Despite Kate’s defense, many online believe Liam’s comments were deeply misogynistic, and Maya shares that sentiment.
Following her breakup with Liam, Maya penned a novel titled “Looking Forward.” The story centers on a model who falls in love with a pop star and subsequently experiences trauma, including an abortion, abuse, self-harm, and eating disorders. Maya reveals that the book is inspired by her relationship with Liam.
Maya hopes her story will resonate with others, especially Kate, saying, “I hope sharing some of this helps others realize that you don’t have to put up with any form of misogyny.”
In Maya’s words, “A toxic relationship is a toxic relationship, regardless of how famous your partner is.”
