Last Selfie of Family of Five Lost in Air India Crash While Relocating to London Tragedy Strikes Moments After Takeoff
A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Ahmedabad as a family of five, on their way to start a new life in London, perished in a devastating Air India plane crash.
Pratik Joshi, a dedicated software engineer, was finally reuniting with his family after nine years of hard work in the UK. Joining him on what was supposed to be a joyful new chapter were his wife, Dr. Komi Vyas, their twin boys Pradyut and Nakul, and their young daughter Miraya.
Just moments before boarding, the excited family snapped a selfie their final photo together and sent it to loved ones, never imagining it would be their last.
The aircraft, operating as AI171, tragically went down shortly after takeoff, crashing into a medical college complex in Meghaninagar and bursting into flames.
Dr. Komi Vyas had even resigned from her job just two days prior, ready to embrace a fresh start with her husband and children in London.
Their sudden loss has plunged their hometown of Banswara, Rajasthan, into deep mourning. Friends, neighbors, and colleagues are grappling with the shocking news.
“The entire town is heartbroken. They were such a kind and humble family,” said a close family friend, as quoted by local media.
This devastating event has not only shattered a family but also left an entire community grieving.
