L.A. Wildfires: Firefighters Honored with Cheers at In-N-Out
An emotional moment unfolded at a Southern California In-N-Out, where weary firefighters were met with applause and gratitude from patrons as they took a break amid the deadly wildfires.
The firefighters, looking visibly drained, stood in line at the popular burger chain, which has been serving them free meals during their relentless efforts. As they waited for their food, customers erupted in cheers, showing their appreciation for the brave first responders.
One viral video, captioned, “Grateful for all the brave firefighters battling these flames. Our thoughts and prayers are with them every step of the way. 🙏🔥 #eatonfire,” captured the heartfelt scene.
In-N-Out also shared photos on Instagram of firefighters enjoying complimentary meals, writing, “Words cannot express our gratitude for the fearless firefighters who continue to risk their lives to save the communities we’ve been part of for so long.”
Many other restaurants across Southern California are stepping up to support first responders. Spago, Wolfgang Puck’s Beverly Hills eatery, is offering free meals throughout the weekend. The Abbey, a famous L.A. establishment, has also opened its doors to help.
Meanwhile, the devastating wildfires continue to rage. As of Saturday morning, 11 fatalities have been confirmed, with over 100,000 evacuation orders issued. Neighborhoods like Brentwood and Encino are now under threat as the flames spread eastward through the Palisades.
