John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Seek Refuge from LA Wildfires with Their Kids, Dogs, and Pet Bearded Dragon
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have evacuated their Beverly Hills home with their four children, four dogs, and a pet bearded dragon as the devastating Palisades Fire rages near their California neighborhood.
The 39-year-old former model shared updates on Instagram, revealing the chaos as she and the 12-time Grammy winner, 46, packed up their essentials and left their mansion, which they purchased in 2020. Along with their kids—Luna (8), Miles (6), and twins Esti and Wren (1)—they brought their dogs and their bearded dragon, Sebastian, to a hotel for safety.
“This is surreal,” Chrissy wrote on her Instagram Story Wednesday, posting a selfie from her closet. “I’m very scared now. Packing.”
Later, she shared a lighthearted caption alongside a video from their hotel room: “4 kids, 4 dogs, and a bearded dragon walk into a hotel.” The clip showed her and Legend resting on the bed with their pets, including Sebastian perched nearby.
In another post, Chrissy expressed gratitude for their current safety but acknowledged the dire situation faced by others. “We are ok as of right now, and I felt weird saying that with so many people we know and don’t who are not ok,” she wrote. She also asked her followers for information on how to help the community.
“And God bless the firefighters and all first responders,” she added.
The family is among tens of thousands forced to evacuate as four major wildfires, including the Palisades, Eaton, and Sunset fires, continue to devastate Los Angeles County. The fires have consumed more than 27,000 acres with zero containment as of now.
Officials report that the blazes are being fueled by high winds, dry conditions, and low humidity, making the firefighting efforts even more challenging.
