Jennifer Lopez Suffers Face Injury During AMA Rehearsals Needed Stitches Before Big Comeback
Jennifer Lopez is pushing through the pain — quite literally after suffering a facial injury that required stitches just weeks before her major return to the stage.
The global superstar took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday to share the aftermath of what she described as a painful accident that happened during rehearsals for the 2025 American Music Awards, where she’s set to both host and perform on May 26.
While J.Lo didn’t go into detail about exactly how the incident happened, she showed off a healing scar on her nose, confirming that she needed medical stitches to patch things up.
Fortunately, she’s now on the mend. Lopez thanked renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond for helping her recover quickly and credited “a whole lotta ice” for keeping the swelling down.
This year marks J.Lo’s second time hosting the AMAs, a full decade after her first hosting gig. Despite the injury, she appears to be in high spirits and ready to hit the stage once again.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Jennifer has had a mishap linked to the AMAs — fans might remember her infamous onstage fall in 2009 while performing her hit “Louboutins.” True to form, she popped right back up and finished the routine like a pro.
With just days left until her big moment, fans are hoping the rest of her AMA prep goes off without a hitch. If anyone can bounce back with style, it’s Jenny from the Block!
