Jennifer Lopez Sued for $300K After Posting Red Carpet Pics Without Permission
Jennifer Lopez is being sued for $300,000 after she posted red carpet photos from the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on social media without getting permission.
Lopez wore a white gown and faux fur coat to the event on January 5 and later shared five glamorous pictures with the caption “GG Weekend Glamour.” The post went viral, but two of the photos belonged to photographer Edwin Blanco and his agency, Backgrid.
They are now suing her for $150,000 per photo, claiming she broke copyright rules by posting them without approval. The lawsuit says she used the photos to promote her personal brand and fashion deals by tagging designers and sponsors.
The legal complaint also says Lopez’s team had been in talks to buy the rights but never finished the deal.
This isn’t the first time she’s faced such legal trouble. She was also sued in 2019 and 2020 for sharing professional photos without permission.
