I don’t see Shallipopi as an artist for now: Wizkid and Davido are G.O.A.Ts, Olamide having more hit songs than both – Daniel Regha. Daniel Regha, a controversial figure on Twitter, has weighed in on the roles of Nigerian artists in the music industry, expressing his lack of regard for singer Shallipopi’s artistic status thus far.
During an interview on Doyin’s Corner, the renowned critic shared his “unbiased opinion” regarding Shallipopi, Wizkid, Davido, and other artists, assessing their contributions and achievements in the music industry.
Regha firmly believes that, akin to his counterpart Davido, Wizkid is on the path to becoming a future Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), notwithstanding his Grammy and other notable accolades acquired through connections.
According to him, Olamide has amassed more hits than Davido and Wizkid combined and has also played a significant role in promoting other artists.
Furthermore, he asserted that Ayra Starr wouldn’t have achieved her current level of success without the support of Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records.
As of now, Daniel Regha doesn’t recognize Shallipopi as an artist, perceiving the singer’s entry into the music industry as solely driven by financial motives.
