Hollywood Actor Gabriel Olds Accused of Multiple Sexual Assaults After Allegedly Luring Women on Dating Sites
Hollywood actor Gabriel Olds has been arrested and jailed on suspicion of rape. The 52-year-old actor was charged with seven felony counts of sexual assault on July 19 after several women came forward with allegations of consensual dates that turned violent.
According to reports from KTLA, the alleged assaults occurred between 2013 and 2023.
Olds, a Yale University graduate best known for his role as a young Pat Robertson in the Oscar-winning film *The Eyes of Tammy Faye*, is accused by the victims of using his Ivy League background and Hollywood status to create a false sense of security before allegedly assaulting them.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated, “Each victim reported that Olds lured them into a false sense of security during their initial encounters, then turned violent without seeking their consent.”
The first complaint was filed by a 41-year-old woman on January 19, 2023, who claimed that Olds raped her at her Los Angeles home.
Subsequently, two more women came forward, with similar stories of assaults dating as far back as 2013.
Police reports indicate that the victims described “consensual dating encounters that descended into violent sexual assault.”
Authorities believe there may be additional victims, as several women have reported meeting Olds on dating apps in recent years.
In total, police have identified three women who claim to have been assaulted by Olds, with two others reporting less severe misconduct.
LAPD Detective Brent Hopkins commented, “We heard the same story again and again. Mr. Olds started off charming but then used brutal violence to carry out these rapes. Some of these survivors suffered in silence for years before finding the strength to speak up. Now that he’s off the streets, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to be heard.”
Gabriel Olds has 74 acting credits spanning movies and TV shows since the late 1980s, including appearances on “Party of Five” and “The Mentalist.”
