Following Aderounmu’s tragic death, Akindele expressed her condolences. However, Aderounmu’s brother claimed Akindele never reached out during her illness, sparking controversy.
Akindele clarified her side, recounting her initial meeting and collaboration with Aderounmu on “Jenifa’s Diary,” emphasizing their professional relationship. She admitted to not being aware of Aderounmu’s illness until recently.
Expressing her distress, Akindele revealed attempting to contact Aderounmu’s brother after seeing his post but received no response. She tearfully defended herself, stating that while she’s faced personal challenges, the accusation of neglecting someone in need is unfounded and deeply hurtful.
