Florida Boy Arrested After Allegedly Bragging About Kill List and Weapons
An 11-year-old boy in Florida was handcuffed and jailed after allegedly boasting about his collection of weapons and a “kill list” targeting two schools, according to Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood.
Alleged Threats and Weapon Cache
The boy, identified as Carlo “Kingston” Dorelli, reportedly showed a video of his arsenal, which included airsoft guns, knives, and swords, to classmates. Sheriff Chitwood claimed Dorelli also wrote a list of names and threats, which he later claimed was a joke.
In response, the sheriff’s office charged Dorelli with a felony for a written threat of a mass shooting. The arrest was widely publicized, with a video of Dorelli being led into jail and his mugshot, along with images of the seized weapons, shared publicly.
Sheriff’s Zero-Tolerance Stance on Threats
This arrest comes amid a surge of false school shooting threats. Sheriff Chitwood has been vocal about cracking down on such threats, emphasizing that those making prank threats will face public embarrassment and legal consequences. He warned that every arrest would be publicly disclosed to deter similar behavior.
Nationwide Concerns Over School Threats
Florida is not alone in dealing with threats of school violence. Recently, similar incidents have occurred across the U.S., including arrests in Alabama, Indianapolis, and Texas for threats made on social media or in person.
