Dwight Howard’s Wife Files for Divorce Just 6 Months After Wedding What Went Wrong
In a shocking turn of events, former NBA superstar Dwight Howard is headed for divorce just six months after marrying rapper and reality TV personality Amber Rose Howard.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Amber filed for divorce on July 1, citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken” with no hope for reconciliation. The filing also includes requests for alimony and an equitable division of all marital assets and property.
The pair’s romance first went public in December 2023, when they shared news of their engagement in a now-deleted Instagram post. “Met you and ain’t stop smiling since Superman,” Amber captioned the photo a nod to Howard’s longtime nickname.
Despite the social media love, the marriage officially began on January 11, 2024, and has now quietly come to an end just half a year later.
Howard, 39, now plays in the BIG3 League after an impressive 18-year NBA career that included eight All-Star selections and three Defensive Player of the Year awards.
Amber who goes by Amy professionally is known for her roles on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (Seasons 11 & 12) and released her debut album Amy’s World in 2023.
While neither has commented publicly yet on the split, fans are already speculating on what caused the quick collapse of what once looked like a fairy tale match.
