A massive fire tore through a 62-storey residential tower in Dubai Marina, forcing the safe evacuation of nearly 4,000 residents overnight. The blaze erupted on the upper floors of the Marina Pinnacle (also known as Tiger Tower) around 9:30 PM.
Emergency crews worked for six hours to contain the flames, with cooling operations continuing into the morning, according to the Dubai Media Office. All 3,820 residents from 764 apartments were safely evacuated without reported injuries.
One resident shared how he and his wife smelled smoke while on the 24th floor and eventually made their way out through the lift after finding the stairwell filled with smoke. Many evacuees gathered on nearby streets as firefighters battled the blaze.
Authorities are now helping residents secure temporary housing. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
