Dermot Mulroney Files for Divorce After 15 Years of Marriage to Prima Apollinaare
After nearly 15 years together, Dermot Mulroney and Prima Apollinaare are going their separate ways. The Chicago Fire star officially filed for divorce on June 23, citing irreconcilable differences in court documents.
The actor, 61, didn’t list a specific date of separation in the filing, but he is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their two daughters Mabel, 17, and Sally, 15.
Interestingly, Mulroney’s paperwork also mentions a request for spousal support from Apollinaare, who legally changed her name from Tharita Cesaroni in 2015. However, sources close to the couple insist there’s no drama behind the scenes.
“They’ve handled this in a friendly, respectful way,” an insider shared. “They worked with mediators rather than lawyers. Nobody is fighting over money or custody this was a mutual decision.”
This marks Mulroney’s second marriage. He was previously married to actress Catherine Keener from 1990 until 2007, and they share a son, Clyde, now 26.
