Delta Pilot Arrested Right After Landing Accused of S3xually Assaulting Child Under 10
A Delta Airlines pilot was arrested moments after landing a flight at San Francisco International Airport on Friday, July 26, facing multiple disturbing child s3x assault charges.
The 34-year-old pilot, Rustom Bhagwagar, had just landed Delta Flight 2809 around 9:35 p.m. when authorities boarded the plane and took him into custody. The flight had been delayed due to heavy fog.
According to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, Bhagwagar is facing five serious charges of oral copulation with a child under 10 years old. The arrest is linked to a case that has been under investigation since April.
He is currently being held in jail with a $5 million bail. As of July 28, it is unclear if he has hired a lawyer, and a court date has not yet been announced.
Footage shared online shows law enforcement officers some in plain clothes walking down the airplane aisle to arrest him in front of passengers.
Delta Airlines responded to the news, saying the pilot has been suspended pending investigation.
“We are appalled by the charges related to the arrest and are fully cooperating with authorities,” the airline stated.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) supported the arrest but confirmed that Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office is leading the case.
This shocking incident has drawn national attention, especially since it happened so publicly, right after the suspect piloted a commercial flight.
