Chris Brown Will Remain in Police Custody After Bottle Attack Charge in UK
Chris Brown will remain in police custody in the United Kingdom after being charged with grievous bodily harm for allegedly attacking a man with a bottle.
Authorities say the incident happened at Tape nightclub in London’s Mayfair area on February 19, 2023. Brown is accused of smashing a Don Julio 1942 tequila bottle over the head of music producer Abe Diaw, then continuing to beat him after he passed out.
A UK judge ruled Friday that Brown must stay in custody until his next court appearance on June 13 at Southwark Crown Court.
Diaw has also filed a lawsuit, claiming he was seriously injured and hospitalized. Officials have asked the public not to share details that could affect the case.
