CCTV Catches Man With Violent Past Kidnapping Toddler Inside Virginia Mall
A terrifying incident unfolded at Fair Oaks Mall in Virginia after a man with a violent history was caught on surveillance video abducting a 3-year-old girl. The child had briefly wandered from an indoor play area on July 18 when 26-year-old Andres Caceres Jaldin allegedly picked her up and walked off with her.

Authorities say Jaldin has a documented past involving mental health struggles and violent behavior.
The toddler’s father, who was close by, quickly realized she was missing and alerted her mother, who was shopping inside JCPenney. She rushed out, spotted Jaldin carrying their daughter on the second floor of the mall, and confronted him immediately.
Thanks to their quick actions, the child was rescued without harm. Jaldin has since been arrested, and the case is under investigation.
