The disturbing video shows a white sedan speeding into a tightly packed group of Espanyol supporters gathered outside the venue. According to local reports, more than a dozen people sustained injuries, though thankfully, no fatalities have been reported.
Authorities say the chaos began when fans gathered to welcome Espanyol’s team bus. The situation took a turn when the vehicle reportedly struck a young girl, sparking outrage from the crowd, who then began throwing objects at the car and shattered its rear window.
In what appears to be a panic response, the driver — believed to be between 45 and 55 years old — accelerated into the mass of people, escalating the situation.
Police later detained the driver, and investigations are underway to determine if the act was intentional or a panicked accident.
