American Idol Creator’s Wife Shocks Fans with Sudden Divorce After 16 Years Court Docs Reveal Why
After more than a decade of marriage, the long-time partner of American Idol mastermind Simon Fuller has officially filed for divorce.
Natalie Fuller submitted the paperwork on Friday, marking the end of their 16-year union. Citing irreconcilable differences, she listed the same day as their separation date, according to court documents.
The couple, who tied the knot in May 2008, share three children — a 14-year-old and a pair of 9-year-old twins. Natalie is requesting joint legal custody of their kids, while also seeking spousal support. Interestingly, she has asked the court to block any financial support being awarded to Simon in return.
Sources close to the situation confirm the presence of a prenuptial agreement, though the specific terms remain under wraps.
As of now, representatives for Simon Fuller have not responded to requests for comment.
