Diddy’s Dark Secret: Cassie’s Mom Forced to Pay $20K to Keep Silent
Regina Ventura, Cassie’s mother, took the stand Tuesday in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial in Manhattan, revealing explosive details about her daughter’s troubled relationship with the rapper.
Regina confirmed Cassie dated Diddy after signing with Bad Boy Records, recalling their first meeting in 2006 and how the couple later moved to Los Angeles. She also read a 2011 message from Cassie warning that Diddy threatened to release a sex tape and target both her and Kid Cudi, whom Cassie was dating during a break from Diddy.
Shockingly, Regina testified that Diddy demanded $20,000 from her and her husband to “recoup” money he had invested in Cassie’s career. To cover the payment, they took out a home-equity loan. Regina said the payment was made via wire transfer to Bad Boy Records, but the funds mysteriously reappeared in her account days later without explanation.
Photos of Cassie’s bruises, taken by Regina, were also presented in court. Regina recounted a heated confrontation in L.A. where Diddy allegedly stole Cassie’s phone before returning it and then drove off in her Jaguar.
The defense declined to question Regina, and the trial proceeded with the next witness.
