USA Flood Horror: Father Walks Through Death Waters to Rescue Daughter Trapped in School Shocking Maryland Scene
A devastating flash flood turned the streets of Westernport, Maryland, USA into raging rivers on May 13 — and one father became a viral hero after saving his daughter from what could’ve been a deadly disaster.
Dustin Nash rushed through chest-deep water to reach Westernport Elementary School, where his 9-year-old daughter, Aria, was trapped along with dozens of other students and teachers. The first floor of the school had flooded so quickly that water reached the second story forcing kids to take shelter upstairs.
In a jaw-dropping moment captured in photos and video, Dustin is seen carrying Aria on his shoulders while a nearby truck floated beside them. It wasn’t just dramatic it was life-threatening.
“I just panicked when I saw the parking lot. I thought, ‘I have to get to my daughter,’” said Nash. “I’m not waiting for someone else to save my kid.”
Aria, still shaken, said, “I was really glad and thankful that he came and got me.”
Shortly after, emergency crews arrived with boats and evacuated the remaining children and staff.
Fueled by 3 to 5 inches of rain in just hours, the flash flood destroyed roads, homes, and buildings across the town. Maryland Governor Wes Moore activated the state’s emergency center, while West Virginia also declared a state of emergency in neighboring areas.
Cleanup has begun but images of Dustin’s brave walk through disaster are now spreading worldwide as a chilling symbol of parental courage and the fury of nature.
