Naomi Judd Once Shot at Her Husband Widower Confirms Explosive Claim in New Docuseries
Country music fans, brace yourselves — Naomi Judd’s husband, Larry Strickland, just confirmed a jaw-dropping moment from their marriage: she once fired a shot at him.
The stunning revelation comes straight from the new Lifetime two-part docuseries, The Judd Family: Truth Be Told, which dives deep into the iconic singer’s complicated life and legacy.
In the series, Strickland is shown a scene from the 1995 TV movie based on Naomi’s memoir, Love Can Build a Bridge, in which Naomi (played by Kathleen York) shoots her husband (played by Bruce Greenwood) after discovering he cheated.
Strickland’s reaction? Simple and chilling: “Well, it really happened. That’s all I can say. That’s all I’m gonna say. It happened.”
Despite the drama, Naomi and Larry remained together for over three decades, until her tragic suicide in 2022.
The docuseries also explores Naomi’s painful childhood, her intense bond with daughter Wynonna, and the rise of their Grammy-winning duo, The Judds.
