Shocking Video Shows Man Stomping on Charlie Kirk Memorial Before Arrest
A man has been arrested after trampling on a memorial for conservative commentator Charlie Kirk outside the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, sparking outrage and a quick response from police.
Viral Video Shows Disrespectful Act
Footage of the incident, shared Sunday by Fox News reporter Matt Finn, shows a protester deliberately stomping on flowers and tributes that mourners had left for Kirk, who was killed last week during a Q&A session at Utah Valley University.
As the clip continues, a man in a blue shirt tackles the protester to the ground. When the suspect tries to walk away, he is quickly surrounded by security guards and a police officer. Moments later, he is pushed against a wall and handcuffed.
Police Identify Suspect
The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that 19-year-old Ryder Corral was taken into custody. He faces multiple charges, including criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
Background on Kirk’s Death
Charlie Kirk, 31, founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on September 10 while speaking to students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Prosecutors allege Tyler Robinson, 22, fired the deadly shot from a rooftop. He has been charged with aggravated murder and is expected to face formal charges in court this week.
Divided Reactions
While Kirk’s supporters have gathered to pay tribute, the incident highlights the polarizing legacy of the conservative figure. Many have remembered him as a passionate voice for young conservatives, while critics continue to push back even after his death
