Busted with AR-15s NFL Star Denzel Perryman ARRESTED in L.A. After Cops Find Deadly Weapons in His Trunk
NFL linebacker Denzel Perryman is in serious trouble after being arrested in Los Angeles on felony gun charges and what cops found in his car is jaw-dropping.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Chargers star was pulled over on Friday, August 1, and booked by officers from the South L.A. Sheriff’s Station. When police searched his car, they found two illegal AR-style rifles and three loaded handguns stashed in the trunk. Authorities say Perryman was allegedly on his way to a gun range, but California law doesn’t care the ARs were non-compliant and banned in the state.
The 31-year-old NFL vet is now facing felony possession of assault weapons and was still in custody as of Saturday morning. He’s scheduled to face a judge on Tuesday, August 5.
This is the first felony for Perryman but not his first run-in with trouble. In 2023, while playing for the Houston Texans, he got suspended without pay for three games after repeatedly violating NFL safety rules.
Perryman’s career has bounced around the league: starting with the San Diego Chargers in 2015, then playing for the Panthers, Raiders, and Texans, before rejoining the Chargers in 2024.
Now, with felony charges hanging over his head and serious jail time on the line, fans are wondering is this the end of Denzel Perryman’s NFL career?
