California Man Arrested Again for Sniffing Women’s Buttocks in Public Walmart Incident
A 38-year-old registered sex offender, Calese Carron Crowder, has been arrested once again in California after being caught sniffing a woman’s buttocks in public — this time at a Walmart in Burbank.
Crowder, who is on active parole and has a disturbing history of similar offenses, was arrested Tuesday by Burbank Police. Officers were originally called to a nearby Nordstrom Rack for a report of a suspicious man lurking in the women’s department. Though he had left before they arrived, police located him shortly after at a Walmart across the parking lot.
Store security footage captured Crowder following a female customer into the women’s department, crouching behind her, and inappropriately sniffing her from behind. Officers witnessed the behavior live and quickly moved in to detain him.
Further investigation confirmed his identity and long criminal record. Crowder made headlines in 2023 for a similar act at a Barnes & Noble, also in Burbank. He was previously accused of stalking Robert Horry’s teenage daughter and has convictions for burglary, robbery, indecent exposure, and prowling.
Despite his past, Crowder had been released due to jail overcrowding but was later re-arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.
Now in custody, Crowder faces charges of loitering with intent to commit a crime. His bail is set at $100,000 and he is due in court on August 1.
