Country music star Morgan Wallen stirred up laughs and a bit of controversy during his recent concert in Glendale, Arizona, when he joked that anyone attending with a “side chick” was probably safe from being exposed.
While talking to the crowd, Wallen casually asked if anyone brought their side piece along. After a few cheers, he reassured them, “Y’all are safe… hopefully,” sparking laughter across the arena.
Though Wallen made it clear he doesn’t endorse cheating “at least not anymore,” he added with a smirk the crowd took it in stride as playful banter.
The moment seemed to be a subtle nod to a recent viral scandal involving former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, who was caught at a Coldplay concert getting cozy with his company’s head of HR, Kristin Cabot. The footage exploded online, sparking parodies and leading to Byron’s resignation after an internal probe.
Wallen, who’s faced relationship rumors himself in the past, used the opportunity to crack a joke while offering fans a judgment-free zone. His message? “What happens at a Morgan Wallen show, stays at a Morgan Wallen show.”
