Cassie Begs Judge: “Don’t Let Diddy Out I’m Scared For My Life
Cassie isn’t taking any chances and she’s making it crystal clear to the court: Diddy is dangerous and should not be released while awaiting his sentencing.
The R&B singer, who bravely testified during the explosive trial, submitted a chilling letter to the judge on Wednesday, pleading with the court to keep Sean “Diddy” Combs behind bars following his conviction on two counts related to prostitution under the Mann Act.
In the emotional statement filed by her legal team, Cassie warned that if Diddy is allowed out, he could pose a serious threat to those who testified including herself. Her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, emphasized that Cassie’s safety is at risk, stating that Combs “is likely to pose a danger to the victims.”
Another witness, Deonte Nash, also urged the court not to release the music mogul, citing similar fears for his safety.
On the flip side, Diddy’s legal team is pushing hard for his release proposing a $1 million bail deal co-signed by his mother, sister, and the mother of his eldest daughter. His lawyers promised he’d restrict his travel to just New York, L.A., and Miami if granted bail.
But prosecutors aren’t convinced. They argue the Mann Act conviction counts as a crime of violence, meaning Diddy should remain locked up until sentencing. The court also heard disturbing details from Cassie’s May testimony including claims about being forced into degrading “freak-off” acts and suffering repeated infections as a result.
Perhaps the most haunting piece of evidence? The now-infamous hotel surveillance video showing Diddy physically assaulting Cassie — a moment that gripped the internet and stunned the courtroom.
Although the jury acquitted him on the sex trafficking and racketeering charges, the verdict still delivered a powerful message. Now, Cassie is simply hoping the court does what’s right — and ensures she never has to fear Diddy walking free before justice is served.
