US Military on High Alert as Iran Threatens Retaliation After Trump’s Nuclear Bombing
The U.S. military is on high alert, warning troops to prepare for possible Iranian counterattacks following America’s dramatic airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear facilities.
Reports say military leaders have told personnel that Iran could strike U.S. bases and facilities in the Middle East as revenge for the bombing. There are also fears that Iran and allied terror groups could target Americans or U.S. sites overseas and even on U.S. soil.
The situation escalated after the U.S., working alongside Israel, launched powerful air raids on Saturday, June 21. B-2 stealth bombers hit Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear sites in a surprise attack that has shaken the region.
President Trump confirmed the strikes just before 8 p.m. ET on his Truth Social account.
We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE
Sources say Trump alerted Israel ahead of the bombing campaign and has since spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the next steps as tensions rise.
