US Begins Evacuating Americans From Israel After Massive Iran Strikes
The United States has started evacuating its citizens from Israel after President Trump launched powerful airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear sites, sparking fears of a wider war.
According to U.S. officials, special flights have begun taking Americans out of Israel as tensions between Iran and Israel reach a dangerous new level. U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, urged American residents to leave as soon as possible.
“If you have a chance to get out, take it now. The situation is getting riskier by the hour,” Huckabee said.
With most airspace closed, only limited flights are available. Israeli airline El Al announced that starting Monday, 50 seats will be offered on flights to cities like New York and Los Angeles for people trying to escape the region.
The move comes after President Trump confirmed that U.S. bombers carried out successful strikes on Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear facilities.
“Our forces dropped full bomb loads on Iran’s key nuclear sites. All planes are safe. This is a major win for our military,” Trump said on social media.
The conflict began last week when Israel hit Iranian military and nuclear targets in an attempt to stop Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Since then, airstrikes on both sides have killed hundreds. Reports say at least 657 people have died in Iran, including 263 civilians. In Israel, at least 24 people have been killed so far, with dozens more injured in recent missile attacks.
Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department revealed that hundreds of Americans have already left Iran in the past week.
