1000-Lb. Sisters’ Star Amy Slaton Reveals Gruesome Injury from Alleged Camel Bite
Amy Slaton, star of “1000-Lb. Sisters,” is nursing a painful injury that she claims was caused by a camel bite, and TMZ has obtained the first look at the shocking wound.
The injury, which occurred Monday at the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, TN, before Amy’s arrest on drug charges, shows a 4-centimeter-wide section of skin missing from her right arm near the inner elbow, exposing raw tissue. However, the zoo’s owner disputes the cause, insisting it’s not a camel bite.
TMZ previously reported that Amy was taken from the zoo on a stretcher due to her injury.
Adding to her troubles, Amy was later arrested when police found psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in her car, with the drugs in plain view while two children were inside the vehicle.
There’s conflicting information about what caused Amy’s wound. The zoo owner, Jon Conley, is adamant it wasn’t a camel bite, pointing out the lack of bruising and the way the skin is sliced open, which he says doesn’t match an animal bite. However, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department (CCSD) says that the zoo employee who called 911 reported it as a camel bite, so that’s how the police are currently classifying it.
The CCSD investigation is ongoing, and they’re not focusing on the cause of the wound, whether it was a camel or something else. One thing is certain—the injury looks nasty.
